The Committee of Adjustment (CoA) will consider an application for a minor variance from the Zoning By-law to permit a reduced number of resident parking spaces for a proposed apartment building at 425 Culdaff Road. The subject site is located at the northeast corner of Culdaff Road and Derreen Avenue.
The applicant wants to construct a six-storey, 177-unit apartment building with 177 resident parking spaces, instead of the 212 spaces required under the Zoning By-law. Visitor parking will meet the Zoning By-law and does not require relief.
The property is the subject of a Site Plan Control application (File No. D07-12-24-0140).
The notice of application and the plans submitted by the applicants are available here. The meeting takes place on January 14 at 9:00 a.m.
The CoA is a quasi-judicial tribunal that is independent and autonomous from City Administration and City Council, and residents can provide feedback directly to the committee. If you wish to appear at the committee hearing to speak in support of or in opposition to an application, please email cofa@ottawa.ca.
