The City of Ottawa has issued a tree removal permit for the housing development site at 6171 Hazeldean Road. The applicant plans to do the work before nesting season begins in April. The city’s forester has instructed the developer not to remove any boundary trees on the west side of the property (any tree with a trunk that touches/crosses the property line. Most of the trees on the site will be removed, and the builder will be required to replant new trees and vegetation on the site as a condition of development.

Permis d’enlèvement d’arbres délivré pour le 6171, chemin Hazeldean
La Ville d’Ottawa a délivré un permis d’enlèvement d’arbres pour le site de l’ensemble résidentiel situé au 6171, chemin Hazeldean. Le requérant prévoit d’effectuer les travaux avant le début de la saison de nidification en avril. L’expert-forestier municipal a demandé au promoteur de ne pas enlever d’arbres limitrophes du côté ouest de la propriété (tout arbre dont le tronc touche ou traverse la limite de propriété). La plupart des arbres du site seront enlevés, et le constructeur devra replanter de nouveaux arbres et de la végétation sur le site comme condition d’aménagement.
