The number of schools in Stittsville is set to increase in future years, depending on population growth and provincial funding.
The map below shows current school locations, along with land that has been reserved for future schools. Construction is underway or funding has been announced for only three of these future sites.
Construction for new schools depends on when each school board decides to build them, and requires funding from the provincial government.
In new neighbourhoods, land is put aside for future schools and is often “dual-zoned” for either school or residential use. The school board has a seven-year option from the date the subdivision is registered to use the site for a school. At the end of the 7-year window, there is an option to extend the option period, or offer the site to another school board.

- Ottawa-Carleton Public School Board: On June 27, 2025, the Ontario government appointed a special supervisor to oversee operations of the school board. Trustee email addresses have been de-activated and there are no board meetings scheduled. Residents with questions for the public school board can email enquiries@ocdsb.ca.

Le nombre d’écoles à Stittsville devrait augmenter au cours des prochaines années, en fonction de la croissance de la population et du financement provincial.
La carte ci-dessous montre l’emplacement des écoles actuelles, ainsi que les terrains qui ont été réservés pour de futures écoles. Les travaux sont en cours ou le financement n’a été annoncé que pour trois de ces futurs emplacements.
La construction de nouvelles écoles dépend des décisions de chaque conseil scolaire et nécessite le financement du gouvernement provincial.
Dans les nouveaux quartiers, des terrains sont réservés pour de nouvelles écoles, et le zonage est souvent double (utilisation institutionnelle ou résidentielle). Le conseil scolaire dispose d’une option de sept ans à compter de la date de l’enregistrement du lotissement, afin d’utiliser le terrain pour une école. À la fin de la période de sept ans, une prolongation peut être proposée ou le lieu peut être offert à un autre conseil scolaire.

- Ottawa-Carleton Public School Board : Le 27 juin 2025, le gouvernement de l’Ontario a nommé un superviseur spécial pour surveiller les activités du conseil scolaire.
