Good morning! For Victoria Day I’m in front one of Stittsville’s Victorian-era buildings. Kemp’s Tavern – now home to Cabotto’s – was built in 1868. It survived the Great Fire of 1870 and has had many uses over the years including a traveller’s inn/hotel along Hazeldean Road; a farmhouse, an Anglican retreat, a Catholic retreat, and then several restaurants: Café Luigi’s, Chequers, and now Cabotto’s.
This week’s updates:
- Victoria Day schedule changes
- Victoria Day fireworks at Hazeldean Gardens on Monday
- Emergency preparedness workshop June 12
- Make the right call:
3-1-1 for damage to park equipment or city facilities, or to report vandalism
