With recent school bus cancellations, we are continuing to work with school board officials, the Ottawa Student Transportation Authority (OSTA) and OC Transpo to offer additional service. OC Transpo will continue to monitor these new routes and additional capacity may be added if needed. A PRESTO card or cash payment is required to ride OC Transpo. I know that these cancellations have been extremely disruptive to students and parents. Thanks to everyone who has contacted us over the past two weeks to share your concerns.
South Carleton High School: OSTA has restored service on all but one school bus route serving Stittsville students. Until that last route is restored, OC Transpo will provide extra service on Route 283 from South Carleton to Stittsville. In the morning, Route 283 leaves the bus stop at Stittsville Main and Carp Road at approximately 6:54 am, and arrives at South Carleton high school at 7:16am. In the afternoon, the bus leaves Richmond at 2:25pm and arrives at the intersection of Stittsville Main & Carp at 2:40pm.
Goulbourn Middle School: OSTA is adjusting routes to provide school bus service to all eligible students.
Merivale High School and Canterbury High School:
OC Transpo will be providing two buses for students in Stittsville and Kanata who are attending Merivale High School and one bus for students headed to Canterbury High School. These new routes will start at Terry Fox station and travel to Hazeldean Mall before traveling to each school. The new routes will run as follows:
- Route 88 will run from Terry Fox to Canterbury – leaving Terry Fox at 7:35 a.m. arriving at Canterbury at 8:58 a.m.
- Route 88 will run from Canterbury to Terry Fox – leaving Canterbury at 3:27 p.m.
- Route 688 will run from Terry Fox to Merivale High School – two buses leaving Terry Fox at 7 a.m. arriving at Merivale High School at 7:50 a.m.
- Route 688 will run from Merivale High School to Terry Fox – leaving Merivale at 2:30 p.m.
Mise à jour : Service d’OC Transpo vers les écoles secondaires
Dans la foulée des récentes annulations de trajets scolaires, nous collaborons avec les représentants des conseils scolaires, l’Ottawa Student Transportation Authority (OSTA) et OC Transpo pour offrir des services d’autobus supplémentaires. OC Transpo continuera de surveiller ces nouveaux circuits et pourrait ajouter des autobus, au besoin. À noter qu’il faut une carte PRESTO ou de l’argent comptant pour utiliser le réseau d’OC Transpo. Nous savons que ces annulations ont été très dérangeantes pour les étudiants et les parents. Merci à toutes les personnes qui ont communiqué avec nous dans les deux dernières semaines pour nous faire part de leurs commentaires.
South Carleton High School : L’OSTA a rétabli le service pour tous les circuits d’autobus, sauf celui desservant Stittsville. D’ici à ce qu’il soit rétabli, OC Transpo ajoutera des autobus sur le circuit 283 de South Carleton à Stittsville. Le matin, l’autobus du circuit 283 part de l’arrêt d’autobus de l’intersection de la rue Stittsville Main et du chemin Carp à 6 h 54 et arrive à la South Carleton High School à 7 h 16. L’après-midi, il part du chemin Richmond à 14 h 25 et arrive à l’intersection de la rue Stittsville Main et du chemin Carp à 14 h 40.
Goulbourn Middle School: L’OSTA est en train d’adapter ses circuits pour offrir le transport à tous les étudiants admissibles.
Merivale High School et école secondaire Canterbury :
OC Transpo fournira deux autobus pour les étudiants de Stittsville et de Kanata qui fréquentent la Merivale High School et un autobus pour ceux qui fréquentent l’école secondaire Canterbury. Ces nouveaux circuits partiront de la station Terry Fox et se dirigeront vers le Centre commercial Hazeldean, puis vers chaque école, comme suit :
- Le circuit 88 partira de Terry Fox à 7 h 35 et arrivera à l’école Canterbury à 8 h 58.
- Ce même circuit partira de l’école Canterbury à 15 h 27 vers Terry Fox.
- Le circuit 688 partira de Terry Fox vers la Merivale High School – deux autobus partiront de Terry Fox à 7 h et arriveront à la Merivale High School à 7 h 50.
- Ce même circuit partira de la Merivale High School à 14 h 30 vers Terry Fox.
