Residents living on Fringewood Drive and near Stittsville Main / Brae Crescent will be receiving a construction notice in their mailboxes in the coming week about construction planned to start in July. This is work that was approved last year to improve pedestrian infrastructure and road safety. Beginning in July 2019, the City of Ottawa will begin improvements to Fringewood Drive between Cloverloft Court and Harry Douglas Drive as well as at the corners of Stittsville Main/Brae Crescent (north and south).
Who: Ottawa Dsquared Construction will be performing the work for the City of Ottawa.
Why: To address a number of concerns including pedestrian and cyclist safety, traffic speeds and cut-through traffic.
What: A mix of paved shoulders and/or concrete sidewalk from Cloverloft Court to Harry Douglas Drive. Intersection resurfacing at Fringewood Drive and Poole Creek Crescent. Pedestrian curb ramp upgrades at the corner of Stittsville Main Street and Brae Crescent (north and south).
When: Commencing in July 2019.
The City of Ottawa Noise By-law (2017-255) allows construction activity to occur weekdays between 7 am and 10 pm. On Saturdays, work is permitted between 7 am and 10 pm while Sunday and Statutory holiday work is allowed between 9 am and 10 pm.
Where: Fringewood Drive from Cloverloft Court to Harry Douglas Drive. Stittsville Main Street and Brae Crescent (north and south)
The affected roads will have information and construction signs installed and maintained throughout the construction sites for the duration of the construction to keep you informed of the changing conditions. Every effort is being made to reduce the duration of the construction impacts in your community.

Accessibility is an important consideration for the City of Ottawa. The City makes every effort to provide access through and around construction sites. If you require special accommodation, please contact the On-Site Inspector or the Contractor’s Project Manager.

En juillet 2019, la Ville d’Ottawa entreprendra des travaux d’amélioration de la promenade Fringewood entre la cour Cloverloft et la promenade Harry-Douglas, ainsi qu’à l’angle de la rue Stittsville Main et du croissant Brae (nord et sud).
Qui : L’entrepreneur Ottawa D-Squared Construction exécutera les travaux pour la Ville d’Ottawa.
Pourquoi : Pour prendre des mesures à la suite de nombreuses préoccupations concernant la sécurité des piétons et des cyclistes, les limites de vitesse et la circulation de transit.
Quoi : Un mélange d’accotements asphaltés et de trottoirs en béton de la cour Cloverloft à la promenade Harry-Douglas. Asphaltage de l’intersection de la promenade Fringewood et du croissant Poole Creek. Modernisation des bateaux de trottoir pour piétons à l’angle de la rue Stittsville Main et du croissant Brae (nord et sud).
Quand : Les travaux commenceront en juillet 2019.
En vertu du Règlement sur le bruit (2017-255) de la Ville d’Ottawa, les travaux de construction peuvent être réalisés les jours de semaine entre 7 h et 22 h. Le samedi, les travaux sont autorisés entre 7 h et 22 h, alors que le dimanche et les jours fériés, les travaux sont autorisés entre 9 h et 22 h.
Où : Sur la promenade Fringewood entre la cour Cloverloft et la promenade Harry-Douglas. À l’angle de la rue Stittsville Main et du croissant Brae (nord et sud).
On installera des panneaux d’information et de construction le long des routes touchées, qui demeureront en place sur le chantier pendant toute la durée des travaux de remplacement afin d’informer les résidents de tout changement à venir. Tout sera mis en œuvre pour limiter la durée des inconvénients causés par les travaux de construction dans votre secteur.

La Ville d’Ottawa accorde une grande importance à l’accessibilité. C’est pourquoi elle met tout en œuvre pour permettre la circulation des résidents dans les zones de construction et les secteurs avoisinants. Si vous avez des besoins particuliers en matière d’accessibilité, veuillez communiquer avec l’inspecteur sur le chantier ou le gestionnaire de projet de l’entrepreneur.
Inconvénients causés par les travaux
L’entrepreneur Ottawa D-Squared Construction prendra toutes les précautions nécessaires pour perturber le moins possible les activités quotidiennes des membres de votre famille ou de votre entreprise, mais vous comprendrez que les travaux pourraient entraîner certains inconvénients.
